The Pumpkin Patch

Pumpkins, gourds, flowers, and more

Returning September 26-October 31, 2026! Visiting hours will be from 10AM-sundown.

Our annual Pumpkin Patch is a fall tradition for many in the East Memphis community. For more than 20 years, volunteers, neighbors, and friends have created a place of welcome in our church’s front yard, including:

  • Pumpkins and gourds of all shapes, sizes, and colors

  • Hay bales, flowers, carving kits, and more

  • Photo areas for you and your kids

  • A complimentary slice of pumpkin bread, baked daily by church members. This tradition was started in our kitchen years ago by Catherine Lewis. We use the same recipe today and fresh pumpkins from the patch.

Volunteer

Our pumpkin patch is fueled by wonderful volunteers from our church and the Memphis community. All ages are welcome to help and we are happy to sign community service forms for students. Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Daily Shifts - Sign up for a 3 hour shift any day of the week to help create fun and joy for families!

  • Special Events - Lead special activities for children and young people! Slots are available each Saturday and Sunday during our Pumpkin Patch season, except for unload days.

  • Saturday, September 26 - Help us unload pumpkins.

  • Saturday, October 10 - Help us unload more pumpkins!

  • Pumpkin Bread Baking – Volunteer to help cook pumpkin and bake and slice pumpkin bread! Our guests receive a fresh slice when they visit. If you are interested in cooking, baking, or slicing this year, contact Daniel Johnson.

Over the years, proceeds from our Pumpkin Patch have funded service projects, been donated to causes that matter deeply to our youth, and supported mission trips to South Africa.
