The worship of God is the most important thing we do at Second Baptist. The first and foremost purpose of our worship is to respond to God. In its most basic sense worship has no other function than the joy that comes when we meet and are met by God. When we gather to worship, we gather to immerse ourselves in the regal splendor of the King of the universe and to respond to God's presence with praise and thanksgiving.

At Second we have one worship service at 10:15 on Sunday mornings. When you worship with us, you can expect to encounter an eclectic mix of styles in this worship service. Depending on the Sunday, a wide variety of instrumentation is used along with the piano, pipe organ, and sanctuary choir. One Sunday you might hear a bass guitar and drums, on another Sunday there may be handbells, and on another Sunday it may be piano and organ only. Also, at Second, we are guided in our worship by the Christian calendar, so that when you worship with us you will be taken on a journey through the seasons of Advent, Lent, Holy Week, and Pentecost. We hope that when you worship at Second you will experience freedom and tradition, joy and substance, warmth and beauty.

Childcare is always provided during our worship services for infants through 3 years of age.
