The South Africa Network is a consortium of like-minded churches working with and supporting Cooperative Baptist Fellowship field personnel who serve and partner with local ministries in South Africa to help build relationships, meet needs, offer hope, and share the love of Christ.
In 2011, Second Baptist entered into a three year partnership with this network to support the ongoing work through prayer and participation. Our first trip to South Africa was in September of 2012 with a future trip scheduled for November 2013. Click here to see pictures from our first trip.

This partnership has also led us to rethink how we minister in our own community because many of the same issues and needs which exist in South Africa also affect Memphis.
These issues include hunger and poverty, HIV/AIDS, and infant mortality and we believe it is important for us to ask how and where God might be calling us to get involved in sharing the love, hope, grace, and acceptance of Christ to within our community.
