Gathering for worship is central to our life together at Second. The primary purpose of our worship is to respond to God. At its core, that is what worship is all about. We gather to be with others who choose to express praise and thanksgiving, joy and sorrow, commitment and blessing to the One who gives us life.
At Second we have one worship service at 10:15 on Sunday mornings. When you worship with us you can expect to encounter a traditional feel that at the same time bears witness to the variety of religious experience in the wider Christian Church. Our members come from a wide variety of backgrounds that span the spectrum of religious traditions.
We are guided by the Christian calendar in our worship. When you share life together with us across time you are taken on a journey through Advent, Christmas, and Epiphany; Ash Wednesday, Lent, Holy Week, and Easter. We celebrate Pentecost and the work of the Church in the world. There is freedom and tradition in our worship, joy and substance, warmth and beauty.
Every time we gather for worship childcare is provided for infants through three years of age, and children in pre-kindergarten and kindergarten take part in a special children’s church each Sunday morning. Come and take part to feel what worship in our community of faith is like!
